International cricket cannot return in pakistan......

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to play its home series against Sri Lanka and England in the UAE.all the Tests, One-day Internationals and T20 matches of both the series will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.Earlier, Sri Lanka had shown the consent to travel to Pakistan for the series but after the attack on the naval base in Karachi they were forced to reconsider their decision. Their refusal forced the PCB to think about neutral venues.“Now Sri Lanka will play three Tests, five ODIs and one T20 in the UAE and similarly, England will also come to the UAE to play three Tests and five ODIs. The number of T20 matches against England is yet to be finalised. It may be one or two,” sources said.“The decision to host the two teams in the UAE was taken after Dubai and Abu Dhabi cricket authorities offered us some good packages, making the series profitable,” the sources said.Sri Lanka is due to play the series in October-November this year while the Englishmen are to face Pakistan in January-February next year.“We had the offer from both Sri Lanka and England to play the home series in their countries, but the PCB preferred the UAE as it will help us taking home advantage by preparing favourable wickets. The agreements with the two countries clearly indicate that the international cricket cannot return to Pakistan in near future.

"I am not finished" he want to comeback..........

Pakistan’s disgruntled former captain Shahid Afridi said he wants to make an international comeback on Wednesday, but insisted that certain members of the national team management would first have to leave.Last week the talismanic all-rounder appeared to have ended an ugly public spat with the Pakistan Cricket Board which followed his sudden retirement from the international game after he was dumped as one-day captain.“I am not finished. I will come back in the team with respect but for that I will wait for the situation to improve and some people to be removed from the team management,” Afridi said before leaving for England. The all-rounder will play for Hampshire in England’s Twenty20 tournament after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reinstated his approval to play abroad – permission it had previously withdrawn. The 31-year-old denied money was his only motive for playing county cricket abroad.“To play for Pakistan has always been my priority,” said Afridi, who still holds the world record for the fastest one-day hundred – scored off just 37 balls against Sri Lanka in 1996.
“I get more money playing for Pakistan than in a county match, but money has never been my priority. I will come back but only if the situation improves.”
Earlier this month, the PCB suspended Afridi’s central contract and revoked permission from him to play abroad after he violated the terms of that contract by criticising the board and announcing his retirement.Afridi filed a petition against the sanctions but the matter was later settled out of the court. A PCB disciplinary committee fined Afridi $53,000 but his permission to play abroad was reinstated. The row began when Afridi developed differences with coach Waqar Younis over the team selection during Pakistan’s 3-2 win in the one-day series against the West Indies last month. He publicly criticised Waqar and was dismissed as one-day captain.Afridi refused to put a date on his return to the national team.

The hostages received a heroes’ welcome in Karachi, Pakistan’s biggest city, amid tears and joy, with relatives of the four Pakistanis welcoming them home after their ordeal. I don’t believe I am going to join my loving wife, who for all those months ran pillar to post to get me freed,” he said.Pakistani officials said they paid $2.1 million to secure the release of the hostages.“We utilised all means including our armed forces to ensure that all the victims, our Indian, Egyptian and Sri Lankan brothers, reach home safely,” Ishratul Ibad Khan, governor of Sindh province.Piracy has surged in recent years off Somalia, a lawless, war-torn country that sits alongside one of the world’s most important shipping routes.

Afridi play (now) hampshire t20 league england

Former captain Shahid Afridi said on Saturday he hoped to make a fresh start playing for Hampshire following his clashes with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which fined him Rs4.5 million for disciplinary breaches. The PCB said Afridi violated the players’ code of conduct, suspended his central contract and revoked permission for him to play abroad, preventing him from joining Hampshire in the ongoing Twenty20 league in England.Afridi challenged the decision last week but the matter was settled out of the court following a meeting with PCB chairman Ijaz Butt in Islamabad, which followed Afridi’s appearance before the disciplinary committee on Thursday. The committee restored Afridi’s no-objection certificate (NOC) to clear the way for him to play abroad but levied a heavy fine.Afridi said he would fly to England on Tuesday with a fresh mind.“The last 15 days were very difficult for me, but I have got the NOC to play in England and hope to put everything behind me, “Afridi said. The hugely popular all-rounder said he hoped to perform well for Hampshire in their title defence.
“I have no training for two weeks but hopefully I will start training and then do well for the county,” said Afridi, who will also feature in the inaugural Sri Lankan Premier League in July-August.Afridi said he had decided not to appeal against the fine. “PCB took a decision which was acceptable to me, so it’s past for me now,” he said.

saint of karachi hazrat "ABDULLAH SHAH GHAZI"

Hazrat Abdulah Shah Ghazi dating back to 13th century came to Sindh. Miracle of Hazrat   Abdullah Shah Ghazi is that around the whole area no sweet water is found but under the small rock where he is laid to rest,  sweet water comes out of spring.  Urs is celebrated  on 20th Zil Hajj to 22nd Zil Hajj. Dargah is located near Clifton beach over looking the Arabian sea.Abdullah Shah Ghazi is considered to be patron saint of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. The Mausoleum and Dargah of Abdullah Shah Ghazi is located in Clifton neighbourhood of Saddar Town in Karachi. There are two versions about Abdullah Shah Ghazi. The first version states that Abdullah Shah Ghazi was Syed Abu Muhammad Abdullah Al Ishtar from the lineage of the Prophet Muhammad from the linage of Hasan Ibne Ali Ibne Abu Talib. He was born in Madina in the year 720 and arrived in Sindh in the year 760 as a merchant and brought with him a large number of horses purchased from Kufa, Iraq. He was given a warm welcome as he belonged to a saadat family, the noblest in Islam. The second version has been given by, Dr. Umar Bin Muhammad Daudpota proposes that the real name of Abdullah Shah was General Abdulla bin Nabhan. Who along with another senior commander, Badil bin Tuhafa, had launched a military expedition against the local ruler, Raja Dahir. The assault was a response to the activities of Raja Dahir, who was seen as encouraging pirates to raid Arab shipping. The war is generally attributed to being triggered by a noble woman who wrote to the then Governor of Basra, Al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf, that she had been kidnapped. Al Hajjaj then wrote a letter to the Raja Dahir who replied that he did not exercise any control over pirates in his kingdom thereby triggering a military expedition that ensued at Debal, near modern day Karachi. Later, a second mission was entrusted to a young commander, Muhammad bin Qasim who successfully defeated the Raja and rescued the noble woman and the other muslim prisoners. While Muhammad bin Qasim pressed on to topple the Raja and conquer, Abdullah Shah continued to live and preach Islam in Sindh. Beside preaching, Abdullah Shah was very fond of hunting. In old times, Sindh had plenty of wildlife like ibex, urial, blue bull, gazelle and deer. In his passion for hunting, Abdullah used to go far from the base and while he had was far enough away he was intercepted by the enemy. Out-numbered, he preferred to fight rather than submitting and it is because of this display of valor he was given the title of "Ghazi" meaning "victorious". Abdullah Shah Ghazi's shrine in Karachi is dated back to 1400 years ago, his brother, Misry Shah Ghazi, who is also buried along the coastline in Karachi, is also remembered as a saint. Inside the shrine of the Abdullah Shah Ghazi, patron saint of Karachi Many people claim to have been granted their wishes at the shrine and it is the centre for people who throng the shrine all year round. Every year marks the Urs (festival) at the shrine for 3 days (dates: 20-22 Dhu al-Hijjah - 12th month of the Islamic calendar), marking the anniversary of Abdullah Shah Ghazi. A famous myth about the mazar is that Karachi never had a tropical disaster in a thousand year because of the shrine's blessing.

"Afridi vs pcb"lets see who is win the match?suicide attack itself khan said...

Afridi, who was flanked by his lawyers Syed Ali Zafar and Mahmood Mandviwalla at a crowded press conference at the Karachi Press Club here on Monday, reiterated that he has been harshly treated by the PCB which not only suspended the flamboyant all-rounder’s central contract but also revoked all his no-objection certificates (NOCs) to prevent him from fulfilling his county and league commitments.Afridi, who abruptly announced his retirement from international cricket on May 30 in protest against the PCB’s attitude, has been summoned to Lahore on Wednesday to appear before the three-man disciplinary committee consisting of Shafiq Ahmed, Sultan Rana and Usman Wahla. However, his lawyer Ali Zafar made it clear that unless the hearing is conducted in an atmosphere of transparency and impartiality, his client will not appear before the committee.Afridi, who received a tumultuous welcome on arrival here from London on Sunday night, said the PCB’s decision against him was totally one-sided and biased after he voiced his differences with national coach Waqar Younis upon returning from the Caribbean which later cost him the captaincy of the limited-overs squad.“The PCB chairman [Ijaz Butt] took the decision [to punish Afridi] based on whatever the [Pakistan team] management told him. He should have given me a chance to explain my views over the happenings in the West Indies series,” Afridi stated. “I still maintain that I won’t play as long as the current PCB set-up exists. I have taken a stand on grounds of morality because senior players should be respected.“The unreasonable attitude [of PCB officials] is against the norms. Today I’m suffering for being honest. Tomorrow it could be the turn of other players to feel the same since a lot of seniors also feel humiliated by the PCB’s treatment, but they can’t stand up and fight because they are prevented by clauses in central contracts. But for me personal honour comes first and that is the ultimate thing in my life.”
The agitated all-rounder further lamented that the PCB’s stance (of revoking the NOCs) has prevented him from representing Hampshire in the ongoing English Twenty20 domestic competition as well as the Sri Lankan Premier League which is set to begin next month.“Cricket is my bread and butter and as a professional cricketer I’m entitled to earn my living from the sport. But how can one expect to get proper justice when the committee consists of board employees? I can’t understand this process adopted by the PCB,” he complained.Afridi revealed that his future depends on the outcome of the inquiry. “I have never really bothered about playing or captaincy. In my career I have played under many captains, so even if someone like Umar Akmal is made captain I’ll play under him.”
Afridi went to court on Tuesday, demanding that the sanctions be overturned. The court adjourned a PCB disciplinary committee meeting set for Wednesday and summoned PCB officials to appear in court Thursday.“I don’t know why Pakistan cricket keeps inflicting suicide attacks on itself which are damaging for the game in a country already reeling under problems.”Khan, who led Pakistan to their only World Cup title in 1992 and now heads his own political party Tehreek-e-Insaaf, blamed the saga on a lack of unaccountability among the PCB.“The reason why Pakistan cricket remains in turmoil is because there is no stability, no institutionalism in decision making and because the head of the board is appointed by the president of Pakistan and is not accountable,” he said.Khan said that only Pakistan opposes a proposed amendment to the constitution of the International Cricket Council (ICC) that would suspend members appointed by government.“Because there is government involvement in our cricket, the PCB is opposing the proposed change in the ICC constitution. If the change comes about it will make the PCB a proper institution,” said Khan.He said frequent changes in the captaincy have destabilised the team.

Afridi's carrrer dark now ? and Political pressure on PCB

Thousands of Afridi’s fans greeted their World Cup captain as he arrived late Sunday at Karachi with some supporters even raising him on their shoulders.
Afridi is due to appear before a disciplinary committee Wednesday after the allrounder criticized top PCB officials, and said he would retire. The board responded by canceling his central contract and revoking the paperwork which enables him to play county cricket in England for Hampshire.Afridi said he would hold a news conference in Karachi on Monday afternoon and also reveal his future plans.Under the terms of a central contract, a Pakistan player is bound not to violate the PCB’s code of conduct, even after he announces his retirement. It is also mandatory for every player to get a No Objection Certificate from the board if he wishes to compete in any cricketing event abroad. The committee will hold its proceedings in camera and no outsider will be allowed to take part.“It appears that the PCB has already made up its mind and has come to the conclusion that Mr. Shahid Afridi is ‘guilty’,” Ali said in the letter, adding that “…the disciplinary proceeding is in fact a sham.”Ali also said the board had no legal right to suspend the central contract or revoke the No Objection Certificates and said it could be challenged “in a court of law.”Afridi’s lawyer was also unhappy with the proceedings behind held closed doors, arguing that the board “has no right to impose an embargo on the right of our client to legal representation.”The lawyer said that Afridi wanted to avoid any confrontation with the board and just wanted to answer the case against him.Afridi’s relations with the PCB became strained soon after he returned home following Pakistan’s 3-2 victory over the West Indies in an ODI series during April and May.Afridi accused team management of interfering in his job as captain, prompting PCB chairman Ijaz Butt to name Misbah-ul-Haq as the skipper for a two-match series against Ireland. Afridi subsequently pulled out of the squad for the Ireland series, which Pakistan won 2-0, saying that his father was ill.The turning point came when Afridi criticized the PCB officials, including one of the selectors Muhammad Ilyas, and then announced he was retiring from international cricket in protest. However, the enigmatic allrounder also said that if the present board setup was to change he might return.Afridi gained the support of a number of parliamentarians, while Geo Television reported on Saturday that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had telephoned Afridi in London. The PCB said later that it was concerned about outside interference in Afridi’s disciplinary case, given the reactions in Pakistan.“It is disappointing that despite Afridi has pleaded guilty to the offenses, some political functionaries are extending their support with a view to influencing the disciplinary process being followed by PCB,” Butt said in a statement.
Butt warned of an attempt “by some forces to prevent the board from implementing the code of conduct, and their act may well damage Pakistan cricket, if they continue to lend support to Afridi and exert undue pressure on PCB for their ‘non-cricketing’ interests.”Afridi was due to arrive in Karachi later Sunday and a large number of his supporters are expected to meet him at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport. In an official statement issued on Sunday evening, the cricket board states: “The PCB notes with great concern that an internal disciplinary action against Shahid Afridi is being converted into a political issue.
“A number of political functionaries are interfering in what is essentially an internal disciplinary matter of the PCB.The PCB and Afridi are at the loggerheads after the board had removed him from captaincy while announcing the one-day squad for the Ireland series.Afridi did not utter a word when he was removed from the captaincy but after Pakistan won the series against Ireland under the leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq, he blasted the PCB management and announced retirement from international cricket.

“It was in recognition of his services that Afridi was made captain of the team last year and he guided Pakistan to the World Cup 2011 semi-final,” said the letter.“Revoking all his NOCs is an attempt to restrain him from financial gains. Pakistan cricket coach Waqar Younis said on Thursday he was “disappointed” by Shahid Afridi’s decision to retire from internationals and played down a reported rift with his former captain.Afridi quit international cricket on Monday, saying he was dejected after being replaced as one-day captain following a fiery clash with Waqar.Last month the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) replaced Afridi as captain with Misbah-ul-Haq, following his criticism of Waqar’s role in team selection during a recent tour of the West Indies. The PCB said it has summoned Waqar, who was due to travel to Australia to visit his ailing wife, to discuss the manager’s report on the West Indies tour, including details of the reported dispute with Afridi.Waqar added that appointing a new captain was not his prerogative.“It’s not in my hand to appoint captain of the team,” said a visibly upset Pakistan coach.“PCB chairman (Ijaz Butt) appoints captain so you better ask him why the change was made.”Meanwhile, Pakistan’s interior minister Rehman Malik has vowed to persuade the hugely popular Afridi to reconsider his decision.Malik played a key role in Zulqarnain Haider’s return to Pakistan in April this year, after the former wicket-keeper fled the team hotel in Dubai for London following death threats to fix a one-day match.Afridi said his decision to retire was final, as he would not play under the current PCB, headed by chairman Ijaz Butt, but hinted at a comeback if there was a change in leadership. The PCB suspended his central contract on Tuesday and revoked all no-objection certificates (NOCs) for the player, meaning Afridi will not be officially permitted to play overseas.Afridi, who still holds the record for the fastest one-day hundred, scored off 37-balls against Sri Lanka at Nairobi in 1997, led his side to the semi-finals of this year’s World Cup.
The burly all-rounder scored 6,695 in 325 one-dayers and took 315 wickets as a leg-spinner. He has a tally of 1,716 runs and 48 wickets in 27 Tests.
He also holds the record of hitting most sixes in all one-day cricket with 289.
