Amazing rescue by Pakistan navy

Rescue teams recovered the bodies of six more people who had drowned while bathing in the sea at Clifton beach, taking the toll to 31.

Twenty-five bodies were pulled out at different points of Clifton and Hawksbay beaches on Wednesday and Thursday. Whereas, an additional six bodies were recovered from the Clifton beach today.

Earlier, reports were also received about two bodies recovered from Sunehra (Golden) beach. However, this could not be confirmed.

Meanwhile, a search was under way for missing beach-goers.

Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said Pakistan Navy helicopters were also being used in the rescue operation.
